The Inn at Lathones is a charming old coaching inn just five miles from the famous golfing and University town of St Andrews in Fife. The Inn has a relaxed and cosy atmosphere with open log fires, great food, real ales and a fine selection of whiskies.

The proprietors Nick and Jocelyn White and the staff are always ready to help their guests with any special arrangements needed to make the best of their stay in this lovely part of Scotland.

  • Golf can easily be arranged -There are 20 golf courses within 15 minutes drive of the Inn.
  • Visiting the famous and historic University town of St Andrews itself (good shopping!) and other nearby historic castles.
  • St Andrews only 5 miles.
  • Spend a day visiting the Isle of May nature reserve where seals and puffins can be seen and tour the very pretty fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife. Also sea angling and coastal walks.
  • The Inn at Lathones is renowned for its restaurant and excellent food.

There are 14 bedrooms, comfortable, individually designed and all with en-suite bathrooms. Some of these are in the Stables, the oldest part of the Inn which dates from the 16th century.

Children up to the age of 12 can share the adults room at no extra cost or they may be able to offer a separate room at an attractive rate. (Subject to availability, ask for details).

All the rooms are equipped with the modern traveller in mind. Top quality beds, courtesy tea/coffee tray, hair dryer, satellite TV, direct dial telephones, radio and full computer access. Good lighting, work surfaces, mirrors.

Recently the Inn has been totally refurbished and there are now 8 new bedrooms.

Martin Avey , Executive Chef at the Inn Joined in January and has maintained and enhanced the already high standards Marc Guibert had set and is working on new and exciting menus.

He is committed to using the wonderful fresh produce of the area. The Inn has direct access to the finest seafood in Scotland through the fishing villages of East Neuk just a few miles from the Inn.

The Inn at Lathones has been awarded 2 rosettes again for the fifth year of being a member of the AA.

Breakfast is à la carte and included in the price of the room. It is waiter served and there is a wide and wonderful choice. Guests can choose what they like or have a bit of each. Coachmans breakfast which is 'the works', a traditional cooked Scottish breakfast. the Travellers Breakfast - a lighter cooked breakfast - or a full continental breakfast or everything!
