Right;
The Jed Water at the bottom of the garden. The poet James Thomson (1700-1748), inspiration for JMW Turner, lived at Sou'den Manse very close by, and wrote in Autumn (1746):

...and of watery wealth
Full; winding deep and green, her fertile vales,
With many a cool translucent brimming flood
Washed lovely, from the Tweed (pure parent-stream,
Whose pastoral banks first heard my Doric reed,
With, silvan Jed, thy tributary brook)

Right;
The view across the lawn from the front of the house. The Jed Water runs behind the trees in the middle distance.

Note: Although the river on the edge of the of garden is fenced off, and there is a small pond in another enclosed garden, care should be taken with children.
