Jedforest Deer and Farm Park

4 stars Green Tourism

Whether you are a family with children, school or club, company seeking a corporate venue or just interested in animals and the countryside the Jedforest Deer and Farm Park offers an amazingly wide choice of things to see and do; a happy blend of education with entertainment.

These are typical Border Country hills with rolling countryside, grasslands, woodlands, and upland and lowland habitats. There are colour-coded walks, nature trails and tree trails ranging from one to one and a half hours. And there's a Ranger around to help and give advice as well as offering various activities throughout the day.

Within the farm are a conservation area pond, wildfowl, and Bar-B-Q and picnic area, and also an Interpretive Barn which explains and links with different aspects of farming and the countryside.

The big attraction is the herd of Red Deer (even white Red deer... no they are not albino!) There are also a great many old and interesting breeds of farm animals, wildfowl, poultry; even llamas and wallaby.

Children (and grown-ups!) can cuddle and feed the animals in the 'clapping' corner.
