The front door in Summer

At the end of a small road and surrounded by natural woodland, with wonderful views over forests to Ben Wyvis, Strathconon and Glen Affric, Craigiewood has an atmosphere of peaceful isolation, yet is only 10 minutes drive from the centre of Inverness.

This is the family home of Gavin and Araminta Dallmeyer who welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast. Both have a wide knowledge of Scotland, and there are none better to give advice about getting the best out of your stay in the area. Gavin is a garden designer and keen plantsman (and takes guided tours to gardens, see Northern Scotland Garden Visits on this site) and Araminta is a travel consultant and cookery demonstrator.

Loch Ness, the untouched native pine woods of Glen Affric, the wilds of Sutherland, Speyside whisky distilleries, the castles of Moray and Aberdeenshire, and even the West coast and Skye are all within a day's drive of Craigiewood.
