Sandaig is a very friendly and welcoming guest house run by owners Marina and Derek Ferbej at 5, East Hermitage Place, a Victorian terrace looking out over Leith Links park. The links was one of the oldest golf courses in th world - 5 holes, where the rules of golf were actually invented, and first mentioned in 1552.
Each of the eight bedrooms has its own smart modern private shower-room en suite, some face to the front looking over the park, and others to the back over quiet residential streets. Families are very welcome, and there is a range of rooms with extra beds.
It's an easy and pleasant walk to the newly developed and fashionable "Edinburgh Waterfront" of the Water of Leith where there are some really excellent restaurants and pubs, and there are regular buses to and from Princes Street - the journey taking 10 minutes.

Breakfast:
Breakfast is served in the dining room,
between 7.45 and 9.15.
Freshly prepared and cooked each day and served between 7.45 and 9.15.
Cereals, fresh orange, apple, grapefruit, pineapple, cranberry or tomato juice.
Warm croissants or pastries, yoghurts, fresh sliced fruit.
Porridge oats served with cream, milk, brown sugar, honey or maple syrup.
Full Scottish breakfast:
Sausage, smoked bacon, black pudding, haggis, eggs (scrambled, fried or poached or boiled)
mushrooms, tomato, beans and potato scone.
Scrambled eggs on toast with or without cheese, poached eggs on toast, beans on toast, bacon sandwich, omelettes with cheese, mushroom or tomato.
Brown, white or mixed toast and home-made preserves, and teas and fresh filter coffee.
Tariff:
View from a top floor window, with a complimentary Strawberry Kiss - a local liqueur made from malt whisky, spices and strawberries.

Cancellation policy:
0 - 7 days: 100% of total booking.
7-14 days: 100% of first night.
14 + days: 10% of full booking.
Amendments to bookings are charged at 10% of full booking.
All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us for refund purposes.
We advise you consider taking out travel insurance for any unexpected cancellations.
