Fairholme Guest House
Fairholme Guest House, in the Newington district of Edinburgh, is in a quiet Victorian residential street less than a mile and a half south of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. This is an excellent place to stay if you would like peace and quiet (and a good night's sleep) away from city hustle and bustle, yet only a short bus ride (or pleasant walk) from Edinburgh city centre. The 'village' of Newington has small shops, pubs and places to eat out and is itself a lively community. Barbara and Douglas Blows have been welcoming guests from all over the world for bed and breakfast at Fairholme since the 80's. Their Guest House is especially recommended by The Lonely Planet Guide for its friendliness and comfort. Many travellers so enjoy the warm atmosphere and spacious nicely decorated rooms they return again and again. This is a 'no smoking' house. There is central heating throughout, all bedrooms have private or en suite bath/shower rooms. Free parking in the street outside - so leave your car and enjoy the city! |
