Friendly B&B close to the Botanic Gardens

A perfect, quiet hide-away bed and breakfast literally just across the road from the Royal Botanic Garden (photo above), Eleanor Milner's home is the self-contained garden wing of one of the residential villas on Inverlieth Place. The entrance is down this path in the photograph (right), just past the window.

Staying here is more like a private homestay, sharing the house with Eleanor, her daughter and their au pair. She currently offers one double bedroom (and occasionally a second) which are next to a shared bathroom.

Botanics Bed & Breakfast is close to one of the best most regular bus routes to and from the city centre (10 mins), or it's about a 30 minute walk up Dundas Street (art galleries) through Georgian Edinburgh to George and Princes Street.

This is a friendly and welcoming place to stay. Eleanor works for a travel company and has herself travelled widely around the world and in Scotland. She really enjoys chatting at breakfast-time, passing on tips and exchanging ideas about where to go and what to see.
